So I was catching up on recent couture collections and found Basil Soda’s Fall/ Winter 2011-2012 collection. I really loved it and wanted to share it. The collection features rich colors, a play on symmetry and detailed touches of embellishment. The gowns are made of a balance of delicate fabrics and tough materials such as silk, leather, and metallic touches. The looks are a blend of past and future as silhouettes invoking images of ancient goddesses are reworked with a futuristic flair. The looks are very fashion forward and are something I enjoyed very much. Above have posted my personal favorites from the show.
