The prom look that I posted below is not for the faint at heart. This is for someone who really wants to make heads turn. The dress by Trixxi really stood out to me, because of how different it is. It is a mini dress in the front, but it looks like a full length ball gown from the back. Finding it difficult to choose between a full length gown and a shorter dress? Now you can have both! I also love the leopard print that peeks out underneath the skirt. It adds another layer of drama to the dress, and will be fun to watch on the dance floor. With this dress I chose to feature a pair of strappy black sandals from Aldo. These shoes have a bit of stylizing to them, but not too much. A whole lot of detail will be too overwhelming with this kind of a dress. I know the picture shows the dress with silver shoes, but I prefer black because it is already in the color palette of the dress. For a clutch I chose a black snakeskin printed clutch from White House Black Market. This clutch goes well with the shoes, which also have a slight snakeskin texture to them. I thought the exotic print on the clutch would be an interesting contrast with the leopard print in the dress. I hope someone rocks this look at their prom. Just remember confidence is key to wearing a dress like this. It’s not an easy look to pull off, so be fierce!

Below I posted a look that would be perfect for prom. Every few days I plan to do the same and post various prom dresses complete with matching shoes and cluch. This is my way of helping to make that search for the perfect dress a little bit easier. Today’s dress is an elegant black tiered maxi dress from Bebe. This dress is perfect, because after prom’s over it can be reused for other formal events such as weddings. Did I mention its very flattering? This dress looks great on both thin and curvy figures. The shoes are built on a platform so that they don’t get lost under the dress. The crystal detail goes perfect with the crystal embroidery at the top of the dress. Lastly the Milady clutch from Swarovski is a stylish way to finish the look. It can be held or worn as a shoulder bag. The only other accessory needed would be a crystal bracelet as shown in the picture of the dress. The dramatic neckline doesn’t need a necklace, because there is plenty of sparkly detail up in the top of the dress. I hope this look works for you. Enjoy!
